Dental Assistant
Job Summary
We’re looking for a reliable, compassionate, and detail‑oriented Dental Assistant to join our patient‑focused dental practice. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment, communicates clearly, and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and cared for.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
Assist the dentist during procedures including exams, restorations, extractions, and other chairside tasks
Take and process dental X‑rays (digital or traditional)
Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
Provide patients with pre‑ and post‑operative instructions
Manage inventory of dental supplies and restock operatories
Support front office tasks when needed (scheduling, patient check‑in, insurance verification)
Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all patients
Must be willing to work on Saturdays. Regular office hours are Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri from 8 to 5 and Sat from 8 to 2.
Qualifications
A minimum of two years of experience as a Dental Assistant
Dental Assistant certification or diploma preferred (state requirements may vary)
Radiology certification
CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team setting
Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental). Office uses Open Dental
Bilingual skills are a bonus (i.e., Spanish and English)
The compensation range for this position is $20–$24 per hour. The starting pay will depend on relevant experience, qualifications, demonstrated skills, and assigned responsibilities. The hours can be part-time or full-time (minimum of 24 hours to 35 hours).
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
