Dental Assistant

Duties

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures

- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments

- Take dental x-rays

- Record patient information, medical history, and vital signs

- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures

- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care

- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting

- Proficiency in dental software systems, such as Open Dental

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance

- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental procedures

- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Basic understanding of human anatomy and oral health
