Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and managing patient records with precision. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment areas and sterilize dental instruments following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Assist dentists during a variety of prosthodontic procedures.
Take and develop X-ray images using digital imaging systems while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance procedure efficiency.
Monitor vital signs and provide basic medical imaging support when necessary, especially in pediatric or medically complex cases.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering dental receptionist inquiries, and maintaining organized medical documentation.
Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate clear communication within the team.
Assist with the use of advanced technology like 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics and treatment planning.
Uphold infection control standards rigorously to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely, adhering to radiation safety standards.
Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training
Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude that fosters a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
