Job Description
High Desert Dental is searching for a personable, friendly, and outgoing experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. The right fit for this position would be a kind, enthusiastic, hard-working person who is great with patients and staff. Pay depends on experience.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:40 AM to 4:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist and/or hygienist during patient examinations and treatments
- Take dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments, including reviewing medical history
- Enter patient information into electronic health record system
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with dental procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
