Dental Assistant (DA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing Dental Service Organization (DSO) team in California. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality clinical environment. This role supports our providers in delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining efficiency and compliance with California regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Take digital X-rays in compliance with CA radiology standards
Chart procedures and document clinical notes accurately
Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
Maintain inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies
Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control compliance
Support front office when needed to enhance patient experience
Qualifications
Active California Dental Assistant certification (as required by state law)
X-ray certification (California compliant)
CPR/BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
Experience with Denticon or similar dental software preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
