About the Role
Our general dentistry practice in Milpitas is hiring a Dental Assistant. We are flexible on schedule — full-time or part-time, built around the right person. Experienced assistants are welcome, and if you are newer to the field but eager and dependable, we are happy to train you.
What You'll Do
Assist the dentist chairside during exams, cleanings, restorative and surgical procedures
Take and process dental X-rays
Set up and break down operatories; sterilize and maintain instruments to infection-control standards
Seat patients, review medical histories, and give pre- and post-op instructions
Take impressions and digital scans; fabricate temporaries as needed
Chart accurately in our practice management software
Help keep the schedule and patient flow running smoothly
What We're Looking For
California X-ray / Radiation Safety certification (required)
Prior dental assisting experience preferred, but not required — we will train the right candidate
RDA license is a plus
Current BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
Friendly, patient-first attitude and clear communication
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a busy office
Bilingual is a plus
Schedule
Full-time or part-time, roughly 20–40 hours per week
Specific days and shift times discussed at the interview
Pay
Depends on experience, within the posted range.
