Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice , at least 5 yrs experience a must. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing high-quality patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the efficient operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining infection control standards.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and medical imaging data. Itero scanning , 3D imaging
Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Monitor vital signs and provide support during pediatric dentistry procedures.
Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix for efficient record-keeping and patient management.
Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to ensure high-quality care.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in the following areas:
Proficiency in using EMR systems (Eaglesoft, Dentrix) for managing dental records.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Experience with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical coding and documentation processes is advantageous.
Understanding of prosthodontics, endodontics, general dentistry, and medical terminology is beneficial.
