Job Description
Are You a Dental Assistant Looking for More Flexibility?
SODT connects Level I and Level II Dental Assistants with dental practices across Southern Ontario for temporary and flexible shift opportunities — on your schedule, on your terms.
Built by dental professionals, our platform was designed by people who understand what it actually means to work chairside. We're here to create a better, more flexible experience for assistants who want to stay clinical without being locked into a traditional schedule.
Learn more at https://sodentaltemps.ca/
How It Works
Set your preferences once and let opportunities come to you. You choose:
The locations you're willing to travel to
The days and hours you're available
When a nearby practice needs coverage — sick calls, vacation, or short-term gaps — you'll have the option to step in. Simple as that.
✔ Work when it suits you
✔ Gain hands-on experience across different clinic environments
✔ Build lasting relationships with practices you love
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting the dentist chairside across a range of clinical procedures
Setting up and breaking down operatories before and after appointments
Maintaining sterilization and infection control protocols
Taking and processing dental radiographs
Ensuring instruments and materials are prepped and ready
Supporting patient comfort and delivering a positive experience
Communicating clearly and professionally with the dental team throughout the day
What We're Looking For
HARP certification required
Hands-on clinical dental assisting experience
Ability to adapt quickly to new office environments
Reputable, reliable, and responsive — the three things practices count on most
Excellent communication skills
Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within a dental setting is beneficial
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
