Job Overview
We have a very team-orientated, positive environment and are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team . As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical team in providing oral health services. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in dental assisting and possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining patient records.
- Take digital dental radiographs as necessary.
- Prepare dental materials, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment within the dental office.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow and seamless communication.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and handling medical records.
- Familiarize yourself with dental software, preferably Eaglesoft and ensure accurate and timely recording of patient data.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and patient confidentiality.
- Assist with endodontic procedures, composite procedures, extractions, implant placement, crown preparations ensuring precise and gentle care.
- Work closely with the dental receptionist to manage patient schedules and maintain a smooth patient flow.
Requirements
-Vermont dental assisting license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a dental clinic or assisting with dental procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and dental assisting principles.
- Familiarity with dental software (Eaglesoft) and electronic medical records.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
