Job Description
Eagle River Dentistry, a family and comprehensive dental practice in Edwards, Colorado, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant with at least two years of experience to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting during exams, restorative, and other procedures
- Sterilization and instrument processing
- Taking and processing dental radiographs
- Maintaining operatory readiness and supply inventory
- Providing front-desk backup support (scheduling, patient check-in) as needed
Requirements
- At least two years of dental assisting experience
- Current radiography certification
- Strong communication skills for patient-facing work

Requirements
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records and appointments.
Familiarity healthcare infection prevention standards.
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools effectively.
Strong understanding of dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and clinical confidentiality policies.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with medical terminology related to oral health conditions.
Excellent communication skills to assist patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry patients when necessary.
Certification in Dental Radiography (X-ray) is required; additional certifications in oral surgery or endodontics are advantageous.
