Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role involves assisting with dental procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring compliance with safety and health standards. Experience with Maxident dental software will be highly valued. The position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a professional setting committed to excellence in dental care.
Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a sterile environment
Assist the dentist during various procedures including orthodontics and pediatrics treatments
Taking digital dental radiographs
Manage patient records using Maxident
Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and medical histories using medical terminology
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
Educate patients on oral health care practices and answer their questions professionally
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of dental procedures and patient care practices
Familiarity with dental software
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent patient service
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience working as a dental receptionist or in related administrative roles is a plus
Willingness to learn new technologies such as CAD systems for dental imaging
