Job Description
Our office emphasizes the importance of a positive and welcoming work environment for both staff and patients. We are looking for someone to join our team. With a history dating back to 1979, the dental practice has a long-standing reputation and experience in the community. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum experience of 1 to 2 years. The practice is willing to provide on the job training to help new hires gain the necessary skills and knowledge. This position involves working Monday, Tuesday, Friday and 2 Saturdays per month.
```Duties```
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical charts
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
```Qualifications```
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- X-Ray certification required
- Proficiency in medical terminology and dental procedures
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- (Dentrix plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
