Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a motivated Dental Assistant and team player who takes pride in patient care, values professionalism, and is committed to long-term growth within a modern dental practice.
The ideal candidate should have several years of experience working as a dental assistant, with strong clinical skills and attention to detail. Experience in professional dental photography and taking comprehensive diagnostic records is highly preferred, including digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and CBCT imaging.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment. Leadership qualities, professionalism, and the ability to support both clinical and administrative aspects of the practice are strongly valued.
Qualification
Minimum 5 years of dental assisting experience.
Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures and dental photography is highly preferred
Cross-trained in front desk responsibilities and scheduling
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, sterilization, and infection control
Experience with taking intra oral scanner, taking X-ray and CBCT.
Experience with professional dental photography and intraoral imaging
Excellent communication and patient relation skills
Leadership mindset with the ability to support team coordination and workflow
Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Experience with digital charting and dental software preferred
Positive attitude and professional appearance
Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic technique and infection control protocols
Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry with precision and efficiency
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details
Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed by scheduling appointments.
Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by following infection control standards and ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized
