Job Description
Job Title: Certified Level II Dental Assistant (Maternity Leave Coverage):
Our busy, growing, modern family dental practice in Richmond, Ont. is looking for a friendly and dependable Level II Certified Dental Assistant to join our supportive team. You will cover a 12-month maternity leave starting this fall, working with a team that puts patient care and comfort first.
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Tuesday: 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
No weekends
Position Type: Temporary (12-month contract) with the chance of Full-Time
Expected Start Date: November 2026
Hourly Wage: $28.00 – $31.00 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during chairside procedures, exams, and surgeries.
Prepare and set up treatment rooms before patient visits.
Take digital dental radiographs and X-rays.
Clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments according to IPAC protocols.
Welcome patients, update health histories, and manage patient flow.
Qualifications:
Level 1 or II Dental Assistant Certification (HARP approved). New grads welcome.
Valid CPR and WHMIS certifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with dental practice software (e.g.,Dentrix ) is an asset.
Punctual, organized, and a strong team player.
