Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software and a strong understanding of dental terminology are highly valued. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
Assist the dentist during various procedures, pediatric dentistry
Manage patient records using dental software such as Tracker
Take and develop dental radiographs
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/out processes, similar to a dental receptionist role
Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns throughout their visit
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, especially with orthodontics or pediatrics
Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Tracker is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Experience with CAD for digital imaging or restorations is advantageous
Certification in Dental Assisting or related training is preferred but not mandatory for internship positions
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential

Monday 7:30am to 4pm (3pm summer hours)
Tuesday 7:30am to 4pm
Wednesday 7:30am to 4pm
Thursday 7:30am to 4pm
Friday 7:30am to 2:30pm
