Dental Assistant

Description:

Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Check patients in and room patients – assist with office procedures as directed
Assist the dentist
Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions as directed by dentist
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Cross train to cover front desk duties if needed
Perform other duties as needed with the initiative to find things that need to be done and willing to assist other staff when not busy

Requirements:

High school diploma

3+ Years of work experience in a dental office, experience with an Electronic Dental Record is preferred.

Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records.

Strong communication skills and knowledge of the communities of which we serve

Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
