Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is essential to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting efficient daily operations.
The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during procedures, maintain a clean and sterile environment, support patient education, and help create a positive experience for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures
Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment according to infection control and OSHA standards
Take dental X-rays while following all safety protocols
Maintain accurate patient charts and clinical documentation
Record and update patient medical histories and vital signs
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Assist with pediatric patients in a compassionate and professional manner
Operate digital imaging and 3D scanning equipment as needed
Support front-office and clinical workflow when necessary
Ensure patient comfort and provide excellent customer service throughout visits
Qualifications
Certified Dental Assistant required
MUST have current RHS and ICE certifications
Prior dental assisting experience preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and chairside assisting techniques
Experience with digital X-rays and dental software preferred
Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
Must be available to work Saturdays
