Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! Duties
Prepare treatment areas and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence.
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist—scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.
Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary and assist with chairside assisting to ensure patient comfort throughout treatments.
Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment while adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
Skills
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Open Dental for managing patient information effectively.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate clearly with team members and patients.
Experience with medical coding related to dental procedures for accurate billing and documentation.
Skilled in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry to improve efficiency during procedures.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children’s dental needs.
Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff while providing outstanding patient care.
