Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! In this role, you will support dentists during clinical procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans accurately while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software
Collect vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care and ensure clinical confidentiality policies are followed
Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical history, and providing pre- and post-treatment instructions
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly and infection control standards are upheld
Skills
Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental instrument processing
Experience with dental x-ray technology, digital imaging, and medical imaging procedures
Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend for efficient patient record management
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures
Ability to operate dental equipment like 3D scanners, dental handpieces, curing lights, and other clinical tools
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly about procedures and treatment plans while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
