We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe clinical environment. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control procedures, and medical documentation standards.
Responsibilities:
Intraoral scanning
Photogrammetry
3D Printing in in-house lab
Lab case management
Taking patient professional photos
X-rays and Cone Beams
Setting up and taking down operatory rooms
Inventory for basic and implant supplies
Adjusting and relining prosthesis
Repairing and creating using our in-house lab
Assisting the doctor during a variety of denture & implant procedures
Delivering pre and post op instructions
Sterilization and daily cleaning and stocking
Qualifications:
Registered Dental Assistant with Dental Assistant Certificate and Radiography Certificate
Duties
Assist dentists during various dental procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols
Manage patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; ensure accuracy in medical documentation and coding
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as needed for comprehensive patient care
Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions
Maintain infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when acting as a dental receptionist
Assist with specialized procedures in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or other dental specialties as required
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting; familiarity with denture & implant preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment safely and effectively; certification in radiography preferred
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security
Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate effectively with team members
Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is desirable
