Job Description
We are looking for a certified Dental Assistant
Hours would be 10am-5pm Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday and 9-2 and TWO saturdays a month.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Assist with dental charting and documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Please note that experience with CAD/CAM technology, medical coding, pediatrics, or medical documentation is a plus but not required.
