Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics with precision and professionalism.
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality.
Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs to ensure patient comfort throughout treatments.
Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, post-treatment care, and infection control practices to promote oral health awareness.
Support the dental reception area by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records with precision.
Qualifications
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting techniques including aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology related to dentistry.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training required; additional certifications in medical coding or pediatrics are advantageous.
