Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your skills in dental assisting and patient communication are highly valued. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be advantageous. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies for procedures
Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including orthodontic procedures and pediatrics cases
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns during visits
Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and maintaining medical terminology documentation
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in compliance with health regulations
Experience
Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred, especially with orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry
Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic or Dentrix is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial
Experience working as a dental receptionist or in a clinical support role will be considered an asset
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training programs is preferred but not mandatory
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies like CAD systems used for digital imaging
