Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our dental office team. The Dental Assistant will assist in providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensure effective patient communication, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or associate degree in Dental Assisting is a plus
X-ray certification preferred
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and staff
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control procedures
Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
Sterilize dental instruments and prepare instrument trays
Assist the dentist during dental procedures
Take and develop dental x-rays
Provide patients with postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist
Maintain accurate patient records
Schedule patient appointments
Keep inventory of dental supplies and place orders when necessary
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations
