Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a proactive individual who is knowledgeable in dental procedures, has excellent communication skills, and is committed to maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Manage patient records using dental software such as Tracker, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area, adhering to infection control protocols.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when required, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Support pediatric and orthodontic procedures as necessary, demonstrating patience and understanding with younger patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient experience.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in dental software applications such as Tracker is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with pediatric and orthodontic dentistry is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Certification in Dental Assisting training is preferred
