Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and comfort during their visits. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is knowledgeable in dental procedures and practices, as well as someone who can effectively communicate with both patients and the dental team.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up communications.
Support the dentist in performing general dentistry tasks, including prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry.
Ensure the dental office is organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations.
Qualifications
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
Proficiency in prosthodontics and four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
Strong skills in medical documentation and record keeping.
Experience or knowledge in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is a plus.
A solid understanding of anatomy relevant to dental care.
