Dental Assistant — Training Provided
Ankeny, Iowa
We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and caring individual to join our dental team as a Dental Assistant.
No prior dental experience is required! We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, is eager to learn, and enjoys helping people. What You’ll Do
Assist the dentist with patient care and dental procedures
Prepare and set up treatment rooms
Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments
Assist with dental X-rays and receive required training/certification in accordance with Iowa regulations
Update and maintain accurate patient records
Help educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Help keep the office clean, organized, and running efficiently
Assist with patient flow and creating a positive patient experience
Help with scheduling appointments and other basic administrative duties
What We’re Looking For
No dental experience required — we are willing to train!
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Dental assisting education or experience is a plus, but not required
Dependable and punctual
Friendly, compassionate, and comfortable working with patients
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn and take direction
Ability to work well as part of a team
Basic computer skills
Commitment to patient confidentiality and excellent patient care
