Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Endodontist Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support to our Endodontist, ensuring smooth clinical operations and delivering outstanding patient care. Your expertise will help facilitate efficient procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and enhance the overall patient experience. Duties
Assist the endodontist during complex procedures such as root canals, apicoectomies, and other endodontic treatments by preparing instruments and materials.
Operate and maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with infection prevention management policies.
Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while following HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and data security.
Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records, recording vital signs, and ensuring accurate documentation of procedures in our TDO software.
Support infection control practices through aseptic technique and proper dental instrument processing to prevent cross-contamination.
Educate patients about oral health care, post-procedure instructions, and answer questions related to endodontic treatments while maintaining professional communication using appropriate dental terminology.
Qualifications
Dental radiology certification.
Experience with TDO software is a plus but not a requirement.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and healthcare infection control standards.
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices safely and effectively.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and medical records management.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed.
Effective communication skills suitable for interacting with patients of diverse backgrounds and supporting a team-oriented environment focused on patient care excellence.
