Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant with at least two years of experience to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental practitioners, and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing advanced dental technology and software. Experience with Dentrix is highly desirable, along with familiarity in all areas of general, major and sedation dentistry. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of dental terminology related to dentistry.
Duties
Assist dentists during various procedures- we provide all areas of General,Major, Surgical, Orthodontics, Sedation Dentistry at our office.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Proactive is key with our team and office expecations.
Digital Radiographs, handle properly
Manage patient records using Dentrix software systems
Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during visits
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards and up to date with IPAC standards
Educate patients on oral health practices and treatment plans
Qualifications
Minimum of two years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting
Proficiency with dental software , Dentrix
Experience with digital imaging
Knowledge of all areas of dental
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental care
Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and sterilization procedures
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Certification or licensing as required by state regulations is preferred but not mandatory
