Job Description
Chairside Dental Assistant
Description
We are seeking a team member who will complement our office in providing comprehensive dental care with efficiency and optimal patient comfort
General skills to include chairside assisting, taking digital images, impressions, making temporary restorations, coronal polishing, sterilization
Basic front office and computer skills to include scheduling and collections, explanation of treatments and fees
Responsibilities
Welcome patients in the dental office
Prepare patients for treatment ensuring their comfort
Set up instruments, maintain equipment, and manage supplies and inventory for ordering
Sterilize instruments and keep treatment areas clean according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Perform lab tasks and take digital x-rays proficiently
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Schedule appointments and manage recalls
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills
Experienced chairside assistant with knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks including coronal polishing, fabricating temporary restorations and making bleaching trays
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills/good team player
Attention to detail, well-organized and reliable
RDA license and minimum 3 years experience preferred
Positive attitude, good work ethics and sense of integrity
