Dental Assistant – Baltimore Area
Smile Loft Dental is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team! We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and patient-focused professional who is passionate about providing exceptional care and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This position will primarily support our Catonsville and/ or Middle River locations. Candidates should be comfortable working in either office and have reliable transportation.
Position Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry setting
Active Maryland Radiology Certification required
Reliable transportation and flexibility to work in Catonsville and Middle River
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Strong chairside assisting experience
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
Spanish speaking is a plus
Experience with SoftDent is a plus
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care
Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
Review medical histories and record vital signs
Maintain infection control standards and sterilization protocols
Provide chairside support during restorative, surgical, and preventive procedures
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Take impressions and assist with laboratory procedures
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Listen to and incorporate constructive feedback to support personal and team growth
