Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient care, and dental procedures, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This position offers an engaging environment where your technical skills and compassionate approach will directly enhance patient experiences and outcomes. This position does come with ample vacation and holiday pay.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are readily available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and adherence to safety protocols.
Manage patient records using Eaglesoft while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions or concerns professionally.
Ensure infection prevention management through proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed.
Maintain dental equipment functionality and assist with dental instrument processing to ensure readiness for daily operations.
Uphold clinical confidentiality policies and adhere to healthcare infection prevention and control standards at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant within a dental clinic environment.
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental terminology, and dental instrument processing.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft will help but no necessary
Knowledge of dental radiography (X-ray),
Understanding of infection control practices including sterilization procedures and aseptic technique.
Ability to perform vital signs measurement and assist with oral surgery or pediatric dentistry procedures when necessary.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise along with general dentistry procedures is essential.
