Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented, Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a busy dental clinic. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. The Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas to ensure a sterile environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow within the clinic to optimize efficiency.
Provide support by creating a welcoming environment for patients and addressing their unique needs.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices is helpful.
Understanding of infection control standards and practices within a dental setting is required.
Proficiency in using dental systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling is highly desirable.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is beneficial for this role.
