Dental Assistant

We are a NEW DENTAL OFFICE in Boca Raton. We are seeking a SUPER STAR of a Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have some experience, but more importantly will want to grow into the lead dental assistant. They have to be willing to learn, to be organized, and on time. They are the quarterback of the back office and play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You do need knowledge of 4-handed dentistry, and working with high volume suction and air/water to clear mirror for doctor during procedures. THIS IS A DRAMA FREE OFFICE.

Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.

Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment in compliance with safety protocols.

Take and record patient vital signs to ensure their health and safety.

Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Epic for record management and appointment scheduling.

Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with both patients and staff.

Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.

Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.

Familiarity with dental software systems (Curve is a plus) is an advantage.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures.

Ability to take vital signs accurately.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is desirable.
