Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are ready for use.
Take high-quality dental X-rays and operate medical imaging devices such as 3D scanners while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards.
Manage patient records using electronic health record system with Open dental ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details.
Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures aligned with clinical confidentiality policies.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing patient management software to optimize clinic flow.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and equipment operation.
Proficiency in Open Dental a plus. familiarity with dental coding and documentation is a plus.
Strong understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry, including oral structures and medical terminology related to dentistry and pediatrics.
Certification or training in X-ray operation, dental assisting, or related fields preferred; CPR certification is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage patient care effectively while working collaboratively within a team focused on general dentistry services.
