Dental Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth operations

- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures

- Take and develop dental x-rays

- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns

- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and retracting tissues

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software

- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff

- Perform vital sign measurements and patient assessments as required

- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control practices

- Strong knowledge of medical documentation and record keeping

- Experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft

- Ability to take accurate dental x-rays and perform basic laboratory duties

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
