Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care and safety. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality dental services by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with dental sterilization procedures.
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support and managing dental instruments efficiently.
Take dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to radiation safety standards.
Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain clinical confidentiality policies.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans while addressing questions with clarity using appropriate dental terminology.
Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history accurately to support comprehensive patient care.
Maintain infection prevention management by following strict aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
Ensure the proper processing of dental instruments and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment aligned with infection control standards.
Collaborate effectively within a team practicing four-handed dentistry to optimize patient comfort and procedural efficiency.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
