Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! Duties
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment for each patient appointment
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools
Maintain strict infection control protocols utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
Manage medical documentation, including updating electronic health records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic accurately and efficiently
Monitor vital signs and assist in medical assessments when necessary, especially for pediatric patients
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and documentation is a plus
Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques in dental settings
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety guidelines
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
Certification or training in dental assisting, including chairside assisting and vital signs measurement is preferred
