Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists, hygienists and EFDA during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Open Dental Software.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.
Collaborate with the other team members to ensure seamless patient flow within the clinic.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is an asset.
Proficient understanding of medical documentation and record management.
Experience with Dentrix , OpenDental or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures to effectively assist the dental team.
Dental Radiology Certification is required.
