Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your energy and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. Duties
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, orthodonticcs, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or cloud9 to ensure accurate documentation of medical and dental history
Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures
Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation and records
Operate advanced equipment like 3D scanners and X-ray machines with precision and safety awareness
Assist with medical coding related to dental procedures to ensure proper billing and insurance claims processing
Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions
Skills
Proficiency with dental software including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or EMR systems for efficient record management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques
Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics environments
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation practices for accurate record keeping
Capable of performing vital signs assessments and understanding basic medical imaging procedures
Experience working with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly preferred for seamless clinical workflow management
