Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental team temporary that can lead to a full time position. (New graduate or experienced). Four days a week Mondays & Tuesdays 9:00am-6:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 9am-5:00pm.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dental office environment.
Duties
Performs chair-side with dentist with pediatric, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients
Perform oral health assessments and take digital x-rays.
Apply preventative measures, fluoride treatments and sealants.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Document odontograms.
Works with post-op patients explaining instructions
Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment and keep regulatory records.
Qualifications
Level I or II certification
BLS trained and HARP certified
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
English speaking mandatory/bilingual is an asset.
