Overview
Harbour Dental Centre has an exciting full-time CDAlevel ll position. Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant - CDA Level II, where your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals including our specialists. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment dedicated to improving oral health. As a key member of our team, you will assist with clinical procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure smooth daily operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere for every patient who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment for procedures
Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by handing instruments and managing patient comfort
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology to assist in diagnosis
Manage patient records using dental software such as Paradigm, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients, including care for occlusal appliances or pediatric patients
Support front desk activities by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks as a dental receptionist
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed to keep the practice well-stocked
Experience
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) Level II certification required, with proven experience in a clinical setting
Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Paradigm/LogicTech
Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable
Experience with medical terminology relevant to dental care and procedures
Hands-on experience with dental radiography (X-ray techniques) and CAD technology for imaging purposes
Strong understanding of infection control protocols, sterilization processes, and OSHA regulations
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
