Job Description
Job Summary: East City Dental is seeking a motivated, organized level 2 assistant to join our supportive team. We are a busy growing family dental practice in East City Peterborough Ont. with a steady flow of new patients. We have just moved to a beautiful newly renovated location.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
perform administrative tasks as necessary
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups.
Collaborate with the front office team to ensure seamless patient flow.
Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records using dental software (e.g., ABELDent ).
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of Dental terminology.
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient interaction.
Certification in dental assisting is required.
experience in administration is an asset
