Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support the delivery of exceptional patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist with a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures.
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines, adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
Open Dental experience is a plus
Provide chairside assistance during procedures by handling dental instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatment.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and updating medical documentation and coding for billing purposes.
Maintain a clean and sterile environment following infection control protocols to ensure safety for patients and staff alike.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing dental health.
Experience
2 years experience working in a dental clinic setting is required
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is essential for managing medical records efficiently.
Knowledge of dental terminology, dental anatomy, and medical terminology enhances communication within the team.
Hands-on experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry is advantageous.
Familiarity with intraoral scanners is recommended.
Certification or training in X-ray technology and infection control standards is required.
