Overview

Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
Assist dentists during various treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, with precision and care
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding to support efficient workflow
Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary and assist with medical imaging procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, greeting patients and managing appointments seamlessly
Requirements
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting practices
Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with iDentalsoft is a plus
Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards for radiation exposure
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical records management for comprehensive patient care
