Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Experience with Dentrix is preferred. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a professional environment committed to quality dental care.

Looking for PART-TIME (2-3 days a week) or FULL-TIME (4 days a week)
Our office is only open M-TH

Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed
Take dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining patient safety and comfort
Complying with HIPAA regulations
Provide patient education on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance
Maintain inventory of supplies and sterilization of instruments in accordance with infection control standards
Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable
Dentrix experience is preferred, but not necessary
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices is essential
Being timely

Familiarity with Dexis X-ray techniques and 3D scanning technology is advantageous
Certification or training in chairside assisting and aseptic technique is preferred
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding medical records and data privacy
Previous experience in general dentistry is preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
