Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments. Take and develop X-ray images while adhering to strict safety protocols and infection control standards. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Dentrix Ascend, to ensure accurate medical documentation. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures. Maintain aseptic techniques and uphold infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Skills
Proficiency with dental software (Dentrix Ascend) for managing dental records and documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to assist effectively during procedures. Experience with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and medical imaging including 3D scanners. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately while maintaining infection control protocols. Understanding of Dental practices and the unique needs of patients. Strong organizational skills for managing dental coding, records, and documentation efficiently. Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
