We are seeking a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our friendly and professional dental team. There is a possibility for part-time or full-time opportunities.
We are a small general practice in Cupertino with an awesome team and family-oriented patient base. We are looking for someone that shares the belief that close patient relationships along with an emphasis on cultivating a great team atmosphere are the foundations of a successful dental practice. Prior dental assisting experience is preferred, but not required. We are happy to provide on-the-job training. Salary will be based on prior dental assisting experience.

A Dental Assistant is a crucial member of the dental team providing chairside assistance to the dentist during various procedures. They work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and assist the dentist in providing high-quality dental care. One of the key responsibilities of a Dental Assistant is taking intraoral x-rays, which help the dentist diagnose dental issues accurately. In addition to assisting with procedures, Dental Assistants play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment by sterilizing equipment and instruments. They often interact with patients, educate them on proper oral hygiene practices, and address any questions or concerns they may have. Dental Assistants should have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate demeanor to ensure patients feel at ease. This role requires the ability to multitask efficiently, prioritize patient care, and work collaboratively with the dental team.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Take dental X-rays
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
Maintain accurate patient records
Follow all infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
Dental Assistant or RDA certification preferred, but not required
Willingness to learn and be trained on the job
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Reliable and detail-oriented
