Job Description
Our General Dentistry office in Cupertino is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our wonderful team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Take digital dental x-rays and intra-oral scans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation
- Conduct initial patient assessments, including taking medical history and recording chief complaints
- Give patients post-operative instructions
- Complete patient chart notes
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Experience/ certifications / Training as a Dental Assistant
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, techniques, and protocols
- Familiarity with dental anatomy and terminology
- Proficient in Dentrix or similar dental software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
