Job Description
We are a pediatric and orthodontic dental practice in San Diego and are looking to add a dental assistant who is compassionate, engaging and friendly with both the children/parents and our staff. Good communication/verbal and customer service skills are a must.
Position: Full time
COMPENSATION: Hourly (salary based on experience, qualifications and the value you add to the practice, negotiable)
BENEFITS include health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and a 401k plan (with employer matching) after certain duration of employment

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Perform prophy and fluoride
Chairside assisting for pediatric dental treatment
Orthodontic assisting (at least 1 day a week)
Setting up and breaking down chairs
Taking and processing digital radiographs
Sterilization
Maintenance
Ordering
Infection control protocol
REQUIREMENTS:
Current coronal polishing certificate (for RDA)
Current x-ray certificate
Current BLS/CPR certificate
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Current (or Pending) California RDA Certificate
1 year experience in a pediatric dental office
Knowledge of Dentrix Practice Management software
Sealant certificate
Orthodontic experience
